Maddie Mae is a female Boston Red and what makes her so special is her gentle soul. In the short time Maddie has been with us, she has proven to be a social acrobat that can find harmony in any setting. Maddie is also a no-fuss older gal who doesn’t even mind having her nails trimmed, and even though she still has a little pep in her step, she does not require much exercise. She just needs a fenced-in yard to meander through. However, her favorite things are belly rubs and snuggling up next to her humans.
Maddie Mae only has one eye with very limited vision and sees mostly shadows. We give her eye drops to help keep the eye wet. She also has limited hearing. Maddie gets Gabapentin for arthritic pain and CBD oil to help with her mobility. She also has slight kidney disease and requires Hill’s Prescription k/d care dog food.
Maddie Mae is still a puppy at heart and loves playing with toys. It is especially cute when she is excited to see someone, she will run and get her favorite toy to greet them with. She also loves to go outside with her fur-siblings for playtime or just laying around in the sun.
